Mercenary Missions
[Players should submit their contract bid along with the percentage of the mission they are bidding for. The MFD will negotiate with each player in turn until they feel that enough resources are allocated to allow successful completion. This process is not competitive as the Government wants the mercenaries on the planet to work together to assist it’s own forces.
Example.
Player 1 commits 20000Cr worth of forces with an FEV of 50000 to complete 50% of the mission but requires 4500Cr.
Player 2 commits 15000Cr worth of forces with an FEV of 45000 to complete 50% of the mission and requires 3750Cr.
As a rough guide, the FEV committed to any mission should be about equal to the contract value x 12. Any less than that means that the mercenary force could be outmatched or outnumbered.
In this case, the forces committed by the players exceed the amount required to allow the MFD to accept the bids. The total requested exceeds the amount offered by 750Cr for player 1. Therefore, the MFD will negotiate with player 1 to agree an amount. This might be the amount requested or it might be less or it might be offered in increased bonuses.
Players are not obliged to tell each other what they get for each contract.
