Statement from CMC

As a result of the recent conflict between rengade forces and those troops that have remained loyal to the Government the Coopers Mining Corporation are no longer able to supply any military vehicles to any mercenary commander on or off planet.     The Corporation aplogises for this but need to devote all production  capabilities to the rebuilding of the colony's armed forced following recent severe losses.   It is hoped that normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

Presidential Announcement

President Jefferson made the following announcement today.

" It is with deep regret I have to announce that, due to the unprecedented threat we find ourselves facing, as a result of action by both the Sardarken, and forces prevoiusly considered friends I am forced to declare a `State of Emergency'. 

According to the constitution, the Government can invoke the `Citizen Defense Plan'.   This means that all able bodied persons in jobs not considered critical to the ongoing success of the colony should report to their local government offices where they will be signed in to the militia.   They will be signed into a militia unit and start their three weeks of basic training.    As of 9.am on 4th August CY 13 the citizens defence plan is activated!  Your Government and your families need you!"
