Recruitment Fair.  Talis

Talis  is a long established if backward colony in the Draconis Sector.   Because of its poor economic development it has long been a good source of raw personnel for mercenary units.    This is therefore the 10^th annual military fair held there.

The Talis government likes this arrangement as it allows some of their young `hotheads’ off planet, and brings in a regular source of foreign currency as they send money home to their families.    It also levies a tax on any other military equipment bought here.    Most vehicle types are available to order here, such equipment is delivered to the spaceport prior to embarkation.   This makes Tanis an ideal place to recruit new troops.

The big advantage for the mercenaries is that the recruitment is pretty much free, Tanis volunteers do not expect a signing on bonus, but you do have to pay for their passage off planet.

Any mercenaries who wish to take part in this recruitment drive need to send:

• A single stand – usually commanded by a Sergeant or Lieutenant.   Past experience has proven that more experienced troops have higher success levels at recruitment.
• Cash – if you intend to buy weapons.   Tanis government likes hard cash gold or similar – electronic funds are not accessible here.

Recruiters usually bring personal weapons, but rarely much in the way of ammunition.  It is not economic to bring vehicles (what is the point this is a peaceful planet), but you can buy vehicles here. 

You need to decide.

1.     What commander you want to bring

2.     Which element of troops you are going to bring with you.

3.    What equipment you are going to bring.

4.    How much cash you are going to bring with you.   Note you will need a minimum of 100 cr to transport each element of troops off planet.    

5.    Any other actions you intend to take before the convention ends (e.g. purchases of equipment).
