Talis 6

The attempted assault on your base was prevented.   As a result the threat from the infected appears to have receded in your area.   It has been noted that the antidote was a qualified success, it does appear to give immunity against infection, though it seems its introduction into the system of the infected can have a negative, positive or no effect.

Even so the positive effects seem worth pursuing and the scientists are producing more shells.   (1D6 / Day).    The antidote is, however,  being produced faster than it can be put into shells so it has been decided to explore the possibility of using crop spraying aircraft.    20 KM North of you current location is small airfield which may have suitable aircraft on site.   The airfield would also make an excellent secondary base as it has maintenance facilities for equipment and fuel storage facilities too.

There is also growing concern, about the emergence of a number of gangs of lawless civilians.   These seem to be a mix of the genuinely hungry with a large criminal / anarchist element thrown in.   All are armed.

One large group has been marauding in the countryside to the North of your enclave, and are a serious threat to any mission to the airfield.   Needless to say the gangs are not well trained, but they have `liberated’ heavier weapons from government arsenals.   This local group may be as many as 200 strong, but will be mostly embarked in civilian trucks and vehicles.

The infected may be an issue in the area though there are not thought to be that many of them.

Due to the conversion work going on with the shuttles at present only one is available.  This has two door gunner positions.

Objectives

·         Gain access to the airfield.

·         Clear any infected from the area

·         Break any lawless groups.
