Here's are a club set of rules.  These are for gang Vs gang urban warfare. Although they are designed for 15mm they work equally well for 25mm.    `Godfather'    These are a free download for anyone who wants to use them for private use, but are copyright to Ilford Wargames Group.    Some elements of these rules are in use in `Talis'.

Introduction

This is the page for the `Talis' Sci fi campaign.   It gives information to the players about the games that have been played and will, in due course have vital game components such as their up-to date army lists available for them to access.    I'll also be uploading the campaign background, and information about each of the game scenarios and our sci fi campaign system (which we think is a nice fusion of role playing and traditional shoot `em up gaming).

Background

The Talis campaign is the second long running Sci Fi campaign that the club has run.   It started in April 2008, and uses a number of web resources as well as our own `variation' of the Hammer's Slammer's rules published by Pireme Publications.       http://www.miniwargames.com/indexa.asp?intDeptID=10

Slammers Rules

To understand these properly you need to buy them from Pireme,  however we have done our own quick reference sheets, and designed some vehicles for our own use.

Models for this campaign are all 15mm, with a couple of exceptions  here are some of the companies we get them from;

www.quickreactionforce.co.uk   Quick Reaction Force (QRF) a small but growing range of Sci fi vehicles.    Designed some specific vehicles used in this and  the Coopers World campaign.   Can't be too praisworthy of the company as one of their directors is a club member .....

www.groundzerogames.net        Ground Zero Games(GZG) Probably the largest 15mm range around at the moment.  Many of the vehicles are also made in 25mm also a 6mm range as well  (very popular at our club).  (Jon's also a great guy to do business with).   And of course there's the `Full Thrust' range of space ships for the off planet elements as well.

www.peterpig,co.uk    Many of Martin's AK47 range make exellent Sci fi campiagn figures.

http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/  Old Crow  :   What can you say.  These are the guys with the `licenced' Slammers models.   Very nice they are too.

And three small (but growing) US companies that deserve a mention:

www.geocities.com/swadyko2000/Combatwombat.html   Combat Wombat.   Scotty's company is releasing models at a phenomal rate.  Good quality resin models and great service.

http://forcexximiniatures.com/  Force XXI.   Mel Beard supplied most of Paul's infantry for his `Finlandia Regiment in John's campaign.   Again a wide range of models in  15, 10 and even 6mm, scales

http://rebelminis.com/  Rebel Miniatures: a small range of 15mm Sci fi Figures and some vehicles too, Zombies and the modern `special forces' are useful.   Mike  is releasing a steady range of new infantry and vehicles in the sci fi Genre.  Trevor's Talis unit is from these figures.
